Good conditions for this time of year with strong steady southwest winds
creating good updrafts and tacking conditions over the Loess Hills ridges. The
first hour (9-10am) was amazingly busy for August with a kettle of 27 Turkey
Vultures that streamed south just 30-40 ft. overhead and just west of the tower
the highlight. Flights at this time of year don't last long though, and by noon
the watch was pretty much dead. Five hours of observation today.

Totals-- Raptors
