Just got back from a week of off road motor biking in South Dakota. Not the best venue perhaps for birding, but every camp site had lots of RB Nuthatches and usually a visit from a Gray Jay or a Clark's Nutcracker. On the road, saw one Ferruginous Hawk and an equally rare Iowa license plate. Way to go Hardin County.
