Forwarded from Ryan Evans, HNC official counter. According to Mark Orsag this
was the earliest triple digit flight of Broadwings at HNC.

Folks,

What a Friday the 13th it was today. It started slow with nothing before 10,
but after that it may have been the best Broad-wing flight this early in the
season for the watch. Mark will know. It started with a kettle of five and then
a bit later there was another kettle of about 20. Then another of about 15 and
by 1130 we had 78 Broad-wings for the day. the next few hours were slow, but at
about 430 I told Jer we needed 3 Broad-wings more to get to 100 Broad-wings for
the day. One showed up and a minute later a second. then three more and ended
up with another kettle of about 40 over the next ten minutes or so. Included in
this kettle were an osprey, a bald Eagle, 2 Sharp-shins, and a Coop. This of
course caused me to stick around a bit longer. Well 530 arrived and only one
broad-wing and a Sharpie. I gave it a few more minutes and decided to call it
at about 545. Well as I was walking to the barn I watched another kettle form
just above the barn starting with 10 and slowly adding more to a total of 21.
Totals for the day were:

OS: 3

BE: 2

SS: 5

CH: 5

BW: 162

SW: 3

RT: 3

ML: 1
