Just a reminder that photo submissions are due today (20 September). There are
still lots of species for which no one has submitted a photo, so please
consider contributing to this effort. See my original email (below) for
instructions.

Iowa birders-

The Iowa Breeding Bird Atlas (BBA2) Steering Committee is soliciting high
resolution jpg photos of Iowa breeding species for use in the upcoming print
publication. The final image must be cropped to 3.25 in. X 2.25 in. at 300 DPI.
Although the online version of the atlas will be in color, the images will be
converted to grayscale for print publication so should have as much contrast as
possible. We will only accept photos from Iowa photographers; preference will
be given to photos taken in Iowa.

In the event your photo is selected for publication, you will be sent a release
form for this one-time use in the print and on-line publication. Budgetary
contraints preclude the purchase of the images but photographers will be
credited in the photo legend.

All photos must be uploaded through the IOU web page at this link:
http://bba.iowabirds.org/UploadPubPhotos.aspx. The file size limit is 2 MB for
each submission, and a photographer may submit no more than 20 photos. Please
follow all submission instructions carefully; the IOU is not responsible for
incomplete submissions.

The deadline for photo submissions is 20 September 2013. If you have general
questions about the project and photo solicitation please contact me; please
direct technical inquiries about the on-line submission process to Ann Johnson,
who may require a couple of days to respond.
