Greetings, Fellow Birders!

The Big Bluestem Audubon Society's October field trip is scheduled for
this Saturday. Dunbar Slough in western Greene County and Swan Lake State
Park, which is just south of Carroll, are the destinations. Both areas are
great for waterfowl, raptors and passerines! We will convene in the
parking lot just behind Wild Birds Unlimited in Ames.Departure time is 8
am sharp. Those wishing to attend should show up at least a few minutes
prior so that we can arrange carpooling.

We will bird Dunbar until lunch, at which time we will head into Carroll
to find a place to eat. We will then finish out the day at Swan Lake State
Park. Please join!

Happy Birding To All!

Rachel Simmons
Vice-President, Big Bluestem Audubon Society
