Just a few moments ago, I spent about 2 minutes watching a BLACK VULTURE along Hwy 330 between Marshalltown and Des Moines. Specific location was approximately 1 mile north of the Story/Jasper/ Marshall Co. line. The bird started working the ravine here off to the east as I watched it. Red-tailed Hawks and a female Northern Harrier also in the vicinity.
Just had FOY Turkey Vultures in Tama and Benton Cos. yesterday. Very unexpected. Danny Akers Sent from my iPhone --- This mailing list is sponsored by the Iowa Ornithologists' Union.
