Pip; The Cornell Lab of Ornithology maintains a fantastic website called All About Birds (http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/search). If you browse by taxonomy and go to the Order Anseriformes, you will get a page that shows all species of ducks and geese. Included on this page is a link to the common calls for each of them. By the way, lots of Snow Geese, Canada Geese, and Greater White-fronted Geese have been pouring over the Pella area in the last couple of days.

A little later I saw FOY Redwinged blackbird at Gibbsville. On Monday 3/10 I noticed a pair of eastern blue birds scouting my nesting boxes. (Just east of Gibbsville.) Due to my proximity the Des Moines River, I'm constantly hearing geese flying over my house. Does anyone have a suggestion on a great location for goose sounds so I can identify what I'm hearing?
