Late this evening at Sandy Beach a turkey hunter stopped to tell me
of a CINNAMON TEAL nearby! He said it had been present for two weeks
in a small wooded pond near Hoosier Creek. The pond is on the north
side of F-12 just west of Ely Road (W6E), near the bridge and on public
land. There isn't much shoulder for parking but I did all my viewing
from my vehicle, not sure if I'd flush the teal otherwise. Traffic was
more than I expected but I did get good looks, tho it was too dim for
a good photograph.
