FOSI finally releases another volume of Berita Sedimentology with the theme
of "Coal Sedimentology". We also must apologize to all of you dear readers
for the delay of this edition, especially to the contributors.

Most of you might be aware that although we have a vast amount of coal
resources here in Indonesia, ironically its development in science and
technology has not catched up with other natural resources industry.
Therefore, our editorial team has volunteered to solicit several interesting
topics in this edition, hoping that this volume could open up or even boost
up the lust to develop all Out Of The Box ideas on coal exploration and
development.

Here is the Table of Contents:
*) Outline of Tertiary Coal Basins Of Indonesia (Koesoemadinata)
*) Coal Seams within Eocene Tanjung Formation of the Barito Basin, Southeast
Kalimantan (Satyana et al)
*) Sedimentology of Coal Conglomerate Deposites Within Channel Facies in
Samarinda Region, East Kalimantan (Darman & Zaim)
*) Book Review : Proceedings of The Southeast Asian Coal Geology Conference

The upcoming volume will have the theme of seismic interpretation and
technology. We have several papers in our pocket but that does not mean that
you cant submit yours. We are still welcome, so let's keep it rolling!
