US to Fund Indonesian Study on Kalimantan-Java Pipeline By Tom Wright
JAKARTA, Sept 9 (Dow Jones) - The U.S. government will fund Indonesia's state-owned gas company Pertamina (P.PTM) to study the possibility of building a gas pipeline between East Kalimantan and Java islands. The U.S. Trade and Development Agency will award the grant at a signing ceremony Monday at 0300 GMT, the U.S. embassy said in a statement. It gave no further details. East Kalimantan is home to the Bontang refinery, Indonesia's liquefied natural gas complex. Indonesia's government is trying to use more gas for domestic consumption as oil supplies begin to run low. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Visit IAGI Website: http://iagi.or.id IAGI-net Archive 1: http://www.mail-archive.com/iagi-net%40iagi.or.id/ IAGI-net Archive 2: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/iagi ===================================================================== Indonesian Association of Geologists [IAGI] - 31st Annual Convention September 30 - October2, 2002 - Shangri La Hotel, SURABAYA
