RESEARCH FELLOW IN SEISMIC INTERPRETATION The Post The Department of Petroleum Geoscience is launching a comprehensive study of the modern and sub-modern shelf-to-basin sedimentary processes on the continental margin of Brunei Darussalam that will integrate state-of-the-art 3D seismic surveys covering shelf, slope and basinal areas. The objective of the project is to identify the modern supply systems, sedimentary processes and depositional products as a model for predicting distribution and reservoir properties of Tertiary deepwater sandstones. The successful candidate will be the prime interpreter of the various 3D seismic data surveys that form the core of the project. Qualifications Candidates must hold a Ph.D., have a strong research record and be experienced in the stratigraphic interpretation of 3D seismic data using either Landmark or GeoQuest software. Terms and Conditions of Service The initial appointment is for a period of 1 year beginning in June 2003 and carries a monthly salary of B$3000 (~US$1650). Other terms include return airfare to country of origin, housing and medical (including dental) services. At present there is no personal income tax in Brunei.
