# 3. Marine Clastic Reservoir Sedimentology
Workshop (Course & Fieldtrip) Instructor: Andang Bachtiar (19 years experience in petroleum
exploration) Workshop
Summary Understanding sedimentology is one of
basic requirements to a success in oil & gas exploration. This workshop is
aimed to refresh the knowledge of basic clastic sedimentology with special
reference to marine setting, the environment of which are associated with
significant occurrences of Indonesian hydrocarbon. Understanding sedimentology
gained from this workshop will helpfully rechange the explorationist battery to keep on generating prospects
(or at least new ideas) in dealing with material (cutting, core, logs, seismic)
and the tool (software, etc.) This workshop is the cooperation
between JCJ 2003 Committee and GDA Consultant. The
venue will be in Bogor (Salak Hotel), which will be a combination between
classroom lecturing and exercises and field outcrop-description at Cileungsi and
Cipamingkis. Who
should attend?
Exploration geologists,
development/production geologists, geophysicists, reservoir engineers, log
analysts, petrophysicists, and coal geologists. Cost
Rp. 6.500.000, - / person
(Incl. course material, field gadget, lunches 1 (one) dinner at 2nd
