Kalau tak salah, sebagai badan negara Pertamina mempunyai skema share yang 
berbeda dengan swasta (nasional/asing) pada umumnya. Sepanjang yang saya 
dengar dengar, Exxon ingin memperpanjang kontrak dengan ikutan ndompleng 
dalam skema Pertamina. Utk keinginan ini (kalau disetujui) tentu mesti ada 
fee yang dibayarkan. 

Seberapa besar fee tentu amat bergantung pd perkiraan seberapa besar potensi 
kandungan tersisa / belum diambil. Informasi ini tentu saja bersifat 
tertutup. Tapi, kalau sebuah international oil co ngotot mau stay di suatu 
lokasi, pastilah karena ada kepercayaan tinggi dari pengelola perusahaan tsb 
bahwa (masih) ada sejumlah kandungan yang amat menggiurkan. Persoalannya, 
perusahaan tsb mau ambil untung seberapa besar ?. Logika akan bilang 
pastilah mau bayar (fee) sekecil-kecilnya, sehingga untung sebesar-besarnya. 
Soal "investasi" ?, dari dulu ancaman serupa muncul dari berbagai perusahaan 
dan ditujukan kepada pemerintah. Kawan-kawan / senioren profesional di 
Pertamina pasti mafhum sekali soal-soal ini. Kekhawatiran rasanya tertuju 
pada (intervensi) pemerintah, yang amat boleh jadi melihat soal ini bukan 
hanya dari sisi bisnis. Mestinya dukungan yang kita sorongkan buat para 
profesional di Pertamina.
