Accessible by motor boat and the best time to visit is between April-August. The marine recreation available are diving, fishing and water skiing. The place is ideal for picnicking and swimming. A lighthouse on the highest point offers photographers captivating views. Other than that, the beautiful coral reefs and a lighthouse on a peak 600 feet from sea level are amongst the attractions of this island. The island is inhabited by 9 Family Heads of Riau Malay origin whose main source of living is fishing. In the months of October and November the island becomes a stopover for migrant birds and it is at this time that it will be more interesting for tourists to visit Berhala Island.
