Memang Morley mempublikasikan bersamaan dengan publikasi east african
rift. Tapi kalau dia menggunakan east african rift apakah justru akan
menunjukkan non mrine yg lebih banyak, btw saya ngga memiliki
referensi ini :
ref :Morley, C. K. 1999 Comparison of hydrocarbon prospectivity in
rift systems. In Continental rifting in East Africa, structural and
sedimentary geometries, processes and evolution: as revealed by
hydrocarbon exploration (ed. C. K. Morley). American Association of
Petroleum Geologists Special Publication.

Yang lebih jelas ada di konklusinya :
moga-moga definisi synrifnya sama dengan yg kita persepsikan.

7. Conclusions
(1) The occurrence of hydrocarbons in rift basins is strongly
controlled by the style
of post-rift tectonics and the nature of the basin-ll stratigraphy. Rifts with
sag basins contain most of the known recoverable oil reserves, and rifts with
marine fillll are more prolific than non-marine rifts.
