Can you try ftp'ing to the SUNOS server, but use

BINARY
STRU R

instead of

QUOTE STRU R

on the z/OS client job?

Unfortunately, I don't have access to a non-z/OS ftp server around here.
We have a lot of them, but I don't have access to them.
