All, we have a problem that just reared its ugly head the other night. It happened again last night. (different volume than the previous night) We do a display unit on one of our LPAR's and get the following:
First LPAR D,U,,,3169,2 IEE457I 14.39.08 UNIT STATUS 291 UNIT TYPE STATUS VOLSER VOLSTATE 3169 3390 A O&04 PRIV/RSDNT 316A 3390 A TEST74 PRIV/RSDNT Performing the display unit on our second LPAR we get: Second LPAR D,U,,,3169,2 IEE457I 14.39.48 UNIT STATUS 259 UNIT TYPE STATUS VOLSER VOLSTATE 3169 3390 O TTOP04 PRIV/RSDNT 316A 3390 O TEST74 PRIV/RSDNT Subsequently, there were batch jobs that received the following error caused by the bizarre volser on our first LPAR. IGD17264I VOLUME,(TTOP04),AND UCB DO NOT MATCH FOR DATA SET How could the volser get messed up on one LPAR like that? TTOP04 is the correct volser but the first LPAR doesn't indicate that.
