And that's it? You didn't use DUAL mode? You didn't re-evaluate and adjust
your Queue parms (Dormancy and Hold)? If you are not using a coupling
facility for your checkpoint dataset, then I hope that you are using DUAL
mode with or without Remote Copy.

If your device usage is already adding up to 100% across systems, without
corresponding IO activity then it means that your checkpoint datasets are
probably being accessed on contention basis. You will have to tune your Hold
and Dormancy values to make your batch report systems are getting favoured
access. 

When a job needs to go to the BLOB for more trackgroups it is going to wait
until it gets control of the checkpoint. Remote Copy changes the basic
dynamic of a "many member MAS" and you need to ensure that your loved ones
are still getting their share.
