We have talked about training our operators, but we still have a 'lights out' mindset. And, IPL's have always been part of a larger project that involves several sysprog level players anyway. Primary motivation is competitive pressure. z/os, z/os.e 1.4 on a z890-350 with only application: a mission critical 7x24x365.25 online. Batch window is one hour. We don't have a printer. All tape is output only.
