Sometimes one's exposition's quaintness is due merely to infrequent typos,  
to which we are all prone.  Even I, a school champion speller once, cannot  
always control my fingertips perfectly.  And I have seen an occasional  typo 
posted by Monsieur Gilmore himself.  I didn't detect any  francophonic clues 
hidden within the typoes [spelled correctly according to Dan  Quayle].
 
Not being bilingual in any other language but merely schooled in nine or  so, 
I would not dare to make the same gracious offer of translation.
