I think I missed your question. The 8 inch floppy set for the 3274-D31
is free, but, if the 3274 floppy drive goes out, try finding a new one
somewhere. Service for the device is time and materials, not a flat
rate. We know because we did an EPO test and found out that the drive
had gone south a long time ago on one of our 3274's. How it had stayed
up one will never know.
At another employer site several years back, we took a lightening hit.
Bringing the machine back up, one of the 3274s was DOA. Popped the
drive open and found the IML diskette had a groove cut completely
through the surface where the read/write head had been sitting...

Shouldn't that cover replacing the drive? Parts and labor?
