Hal, C'mon Hal. You really think that sites that have right sized MXG don't use automation to run BUILDPDB? You can't truly think that Windows and Unix doesn't have any automation tools or ISV software. You don't even have to FTP the SMF dataset nowadays - you just read it directly through FTP.
And as for report distribution, I'm not sure what particular superiority MVS has over Unix and Windows? Procedures can print to a printer, or a file that can be emailed later.
