Now, if somebody here knows the cost and is willing to share, I'd be
very interested in reading.
I got the impression that it was about 5k-6k per workstation. If IBM
released a personal edition, ala Visual Studio -- around the $99-$199
pricepoint, I'd be happy to buy my own and take it to work. It
really is a cool tool.
But you still need TSO with it (and ISPF? as well), so there is no
money to be saved by ditching those two venerable products. I just
don't see many shops doing full upgrades of their development
environment at these prices.
