This is no great surprise. WHile the OS/2 HMCs had a defined API, and
theoretically allowed installign other programs on the box, in practice this
was nearly impossible, for two reasons: the API was a real moving target,
and IBM would remove any such software at their whim whenever they were next
to the machine.
