What are the benefits?
It works.
I'd rather they fix the RSVNOR, the incompatibilities of USS and 'real' UNIX,
speed up dynamic PAV's,
implement better diagnostics for CSA 'creep',
put mean-time-to-wait back into the WLM/SRM tandem (other than discretionary),
put 64-bit coding into HLL's,
update (& support) the ISPF work-station client, move the REXX stack to above
the line, etc.
Then, maybe, they can fix something that isn't broken. (8-{]}
