My former boss at IBM was from the old IBM school: "Feature it, Fix it, Feature it again" and it looks to me like MIDAW description is already in the current POPs Chapter 15. The z9 MIDAW announcement looks like new stuff but maybe it turns out to be performance available with z/OS 1.7 and its I/O drivers(?). Better performance for extended VSAM / DB2 would be nice for our existing z990 users, so I'm happy with it not being quite so new. -- Tom Schmidt Madison, WI ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
