You may not wish to specify 32 spool volumes worth of track groups if you don't anticipate using that many. Allowing for reasonable growth is a good idea. There are facilities in JES2 for reconfiguring to a larger chkpt ds and altering the TGSPACE specification later if the need is anticipated.
