Hi Sam,

We have OnNet Host suite Version 5.0.0.116. This is the same version that
is on my Windows NT box, so the exact same software is running on the newer
XP PCs as is on the old ones like mine. We haven't tried any other
emulators. I would try to download something else, but I believe that all
of the XP PCs only allow the PC staff to change any software.

Yesterday I changed the definition of one of the people that has the
problem from 3278-2-E to 3278-2. She didn't have any problems yesterday,
but then she didn't use the system much yesterday. Today, I am having her
and another change their configuration to 3278-2. If that works without
problems for a couple days, I'll have the PC people change the definition
permanently. She can't even save the updated definition on her PC.

If this doesn't work, someone else mentioned the Pentium 4 hyperthreading
used in XP causing problems. We will try turning that off in the bios if
this doesn't work

I agree - the problem is probably in the emulator software. I doubt we
will be changing emulators, as the mainframe is going away in 6 months.
