I mean from ECSA to CSA and it's much worse because we load a copy for each
IMS subsystem.  You can load some IMS modules in LPA if you had IMS systems
sharing modules in MLPA which would normally be in CSA. This is a common
technique for saving CSA space where you have multiple IMS systems at the
same maintenance level. Systems which are sharing the modules specify the
SRCH=1 to search LPA first when fetching modules.

I admit I barely know how to spell IMS, but is it really true that IMS loads its shared modules into CSA? I never heard of any product loading large load modules into CSA.

But this might explain a customer who we recently dealt with who had a very small below-the-line private area (about 7M) because they had a large CSA, supposedly to support IMS.
