I'll second this. The chair's job isn't hard, but it really does help the speaker immensely. They even provide a sheet and a script that tells you everything you need to know and say. >> SHARE is organized as a partnership between vendor(s) and customer. SHARE org provides clearing house administrivia and WEB interface at _www.share.org_ (http://www.share.org) . It's like an extended family, it's as good as we can make it. It's not them vs. us it's all us. There are new user sessions, current experiences sessions, watch out sessions(Hot topics, Hot flashes from Cheryl), ergonomics, and blue sky working groups. The spectrum is broad and rich(like MVS), but it doesn't run on wishes and guesses. Runs on participation and active involvement. It requires a commitment from the individual and the company. This is SHARE's 50th anniversary. To IBM's credit it has stayed active in it's participation supplying speakers, developers, and liaison to various groups within SHARE. Can go from PC's to z/990s, WARP to z/OS and find a Session or track of Sessions to keep you occupied. In the evening, the BOF(birds of Feather) sessions are created by members who are having problems either in coverage or exposure in certain areas. If you like or don't like something individuals can request or sponsor sessions. They're posted daily by the call board. It does cut back on SCIDS participation. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
