When did that change? There is almost always more than one way to accomplish any given task. E.g., was IMASPZAP/AMASPZAP/SUPERZAP in the PPT (Program Properties Table)? If so, then it could bypass the normal data set integrity functions of the control program without having to alter a DEB's extents. Just speculation, since I never read AMASPZAP's source code to see how they were doing things.
