Well, under Thuderbird I created a new account and
filled in 204.153.244.171 under server settings; then,
under "Manage Newsgroup Subscriptions" a list of
available newsgroups came up, and I selected comp.lang.cobol,
clicked "subscribe", then OK. Next thing I know, the
204.153.244.171 account has 600+ messages showing in
the comp.lang.cobol list; I can read them, but not
reply nor post to the group.
