Java in CICS does not add more functionality than other languages since you are 
still restricted to using the
JCICS classes for CICS functions and not all java functions or facilities like 
applets are supported.
But Java does give the appearance of CICS being in the modern world, even if it 
is slower to run on CICS than other languages. C appears to be a much powerful 
language and it can run out of regular loadlibs and be compiled 
 With normal batch jcl.
