IBM has announced that VSAM clusters with IMBED will no longer be usable in the next release after 1.7, call it 'R8'. We've run the supplied utility to ferret out any IMBEDs that remain after all this time and found--much to our chagrin--that we have a lot of catalogs with that attribute. Including master catalogs! Must all of these be recreated? If so, we're looking at some serious sysplex-wide outages.
