delete any old, unused members and then compress the library. If all the members are necessary, then copy some to another library and delete them from SYS1.VTAMLST. Compress SYS1.VTAMLST and put in the new members. Now you can activate the new members. Once this is done, 1) create a bigger SYS1.VTAMLST on another volume and copy everything into it.
