Well according to both my recollection, and Wikipedia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accenture) Accenture started out as a division of Arthur Andersen, but split from Arthur Andersen in 1989, but was still part of the AWSC administrative entity. It wasn't until August of 2000 that Andersen Consulting was split from AWSC and became Accenture.
