Accenture was originally the IT consulting division of Arthur Anderson. That is why they took the name Anderson Consulting. They then were spun off from Arthur Anderson as a separate company and took the name Accenture.

Does anyone remember who Accenture was?

Arthur Andersen, IIRC.

No. Former name of Accenture was Andersen Consulting (www.ac.com), not
Arthur Andersen.
It was separate entity loooong time before Enron bankrupcy.

If Accenture was Anderson Consulting and Anderson Consulting was
Arthur Anderson, then Accenture was Arthur Anderson.

I've worked with people who said they were one, and with people who
said they were the other.
