This is LEN-talk[1]! You been spending too much time around the Microsoft SNA products maybe! APPN has those handy CP LU to CP LU sessions which are there - among other things/functions - to provide a distributed directory - whatever the configuration. Thus VTAM A can find out all it will ever need to know about the LUs defined within VTAM B and vice versa. Actually, in one sense, you are quite correct, CDRSC definitions *are* needed on both sides - but they are created dynamically by VTAM.
