Sorry, I was referring to GDG.  
Specifically, lets say the normal process is this:

Receive file.
RUn program.
Receive file
RUn program.

You are suggesting
Receive file (in to GDG).
Receive file (in to GDG).
Run program (Reading entire GDG)

That works in some cases, but probably not in others.  Specifically if you want 
one report run per file.
