One question...who currently allocates your HFSes? Is it the application area or a Systems Programming area? If it is the application area then you will have to educate them on how to allocate and format zFSes, and you will have to make sure they have the correct RACF authorizations (as documented in the z/OS V1R11.0 Distributed File Service zFS Administration manual). If it is the Systems Programming area then you can start allocating and formatting zFSes yourselves, there is no difference to the end user (other than possibly some performance gains) between HFS and zFS.

We didn't migrate any existing data from HFS to zFS. Our application team want to use zFS new function, but we don't want to migrate any existing data from HFS to zFS. We don't have any experience of zFS. Could you tell how to make our application team use zFS new function. Any suggestions are very highly appreciated! Thanks a lot!
