I'll take your (and the manual's) word for it. But, we did some tests (circa 1985), where we would add and IEFBR14 with a disp=old, to a multi-hour job, and try to access the dataset in question. No joy. But, this was back with ACF2, and many mods (pre-XA). I can't even ask the SYSPROG who helped me, for verification.
