IMHO, the author did not pose any meaningful questions. The statement 'A is 
better than B' makes no sence unless there is some sort of context that 
establishes the comparison crieria. 

I had to laugh at the statement: " Another hypothesis is, that most mainframe 
guys doesn't know what's possible on Unix (real Unix, not the pengiun variant) 
and thus consider their technologies as superior." 

*nix folks are so cute when they say things like that. Reminds me of the time 
my grandchildren saw the ocean for the first time. Up until that moment, they 
had no frame of referance. The word 'ocean' took on a whole new meaning. I 
salute the author for trying to understand, but, without that frame of 
referance........
