Not easily. I think Ed J. once said that (E)JES will do that for you.
What (E)JES does is more like the first alternative.
Output from z/OS UNIX "client jobs" with the same job name and job ID--not
necessary the same job ID as the original parent job nor the BPXAS initiator
under which the forked procedure ran (these values are totally up to the program
that creates the subtask JSAB)--are grouped together and surfaced as a single
object on STATUS. This object looks a lot like a normal job and you can do many
normal jobs things like drill down to see individual data sets, browse them
concatenated together, requeue them, copy to disk, etc.
