cross-posting to ibm-main, racf-l
I am running z/os 1.9

having read ibm’s apars io11689 and io12263 about the racf-ification of smp/e
commands and program, I created the following profiles, which I *THOUGHT* would
be correct/sufficient:

rdef facility gim.cmd.* uacc(none) owner(tuco)
pe gim.cmd.* class(facility) id(tuco) ac(alter)

rdef facility gim.pgm.* uacc(none) owner(tuco)
pe gim.pgm.* class(facility) id(tuco) ac(alter)

rdef facility gim.* uacc(none) owner(tuco)
pe gim.* class(facility) id(tuco) ac(alter)

( and I did a “setropts raclist(facility) refresh” as well)

Yet I continue to be plagued w/ the following messages when I run smp/e at the
3.5 level:

gim54701e allocation failed for _________ - ikj56864i utility dataset not
allocated, user not authorized for function specified.

well, I’ve researched both messages at ibm’s LOOK-AT facility and cannot get
any clues as to what to do. I do NOT have these problems when I steplib my
gimsmp program back to the 3.4 level.
the only thing I can conclude is that my racf stuff is out of whack.

so , would anyone be willing to share w/ me what he or she did to put their
smp/e resources under racf and NOT be plagued w/ these messages?

thank you very much in advance.
