You still have to take MSU's into account.
Especially, in Capacity Planning.
It does no good to come up with a configuration solution that is financially 
infeasible.

That's true, but it's just a constant.

But, unfortunately, you have to take the software constant into account.

I've been arguing with IBM, since 1984, when they introduced capacity-based 
pricing, in the form of model groups.

Everything since then has been half-*ssed solutions to address the problem they 
introduced.
