First I would do a D MPF on that LPAR and just make sure that the MPF list is what you are expecting. From the display you can see if the message is defined and what action(s) are to be taken. If the display shows that the message is suppose to be suppressed, then then next item is are you using an Automation package? If so, you will need to check your automation package and make sure it is not picking up the message and putting it back to the console in a different format that could be just enough difference for the MVS MPF not to pick it up.

Operators have asked me to inhibit a message in Console. Piece of cake, I thought, just put in MPFLSTxx and issue SET MPF=xx in all images that issue the message. After doing that, the message disappeared from all consoles but one, which is part of the same Sysplex. The message continues to appear in this specific console, and the systems that issue this message have been MPFed successfully. Do you have any suggestions ?
