G'day, I am having a problem trying to recover a dsn from a ABARS backup tape. I the dataset was backed up however when I attempt the restore using DFDSS I get the message ADR487W. I tried using the ARECOVER command to no avail. I even tried the following to no avail : HSEND ARECOVER DATASETNAME(ABARS.BON.DMDB.C.C01V1729) - ONLYDATASET(NAME(RE2.DMDBW$15.VAN15.G0109V00)) - DATASETCONFLICT(BYPASS) - VOLUMES(JE8012) NOBACKUPMIGRATED UNIT(3590-1) EXECUTE
I verified the ABACKUP dsn when the backup was taken and it shows that the dsn was backed up. The reason why I am trying to recover the dsn from the ABARS backup is because the tape dataset is damaged When I tried the DFDSS restore I used the .D. dsn. Any suggestions how I can fix this nightmare?
