Any or all of the following can improve performance of the catalog. ECS
especially will dramatically reduce the enqueues.

1) Increase the STRNO to 5 or 7.
2) Add to VLF.
3) Implement ECS (Enhanced Catalog Sharing).
4) Remove IMBED.

Subject: STRNO in DB2 catalog

Hi folks,

I'm revising catalog parameters to improve performance and I have found
that
DB2 catalog has STRNO=2 (concurrent read request).

This catalog was created in 1991 and perhaps this value could be
increased to decrease SYSZRPLW enqueues.

Thanks in advance
