Mark My apologies!
I assumed that you would have read my response to Shane Ginnane in which I have placed the results of some research - mainly searching on "FFST" in the IBM web page. There you would have discovered the following: > But this starts to let the secret - a real one rather than a sarcastic one - out of the bag. By examination of the contents of the earlier Technote, you will see that, at least as far as the excellent - I expect - suite of products which goes under the very contemporary name "WebSphere MQ", FFST is alive, well and kicking but only if you are not dealing with the lumbering VSE and z/OS flavours of the product! All the other flavours seem to delight in using FFST and, as can be seen from the second quoted Technote, woe betide - "MustGather" no less - a systems programmer who tries to get away with *not* providing FFST-generated material. The Technotes to which I refer are the following: WebSphere MQ Dumps and FFSTs are written to the following locations http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21173468 Collect troubleshooting data for an FFST problem in WebSphere MQ for Windows http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21293443 Unfortunately, you don't seem to have noticed the "other than VSE and z/OS" which could have given you "pause", perhaps sufficient of a "pause" *not* to have spattered egg all over your face in your following post! "Worthless" indeed! - Not to waste effort setting up another post for such a "worthless" cause: G - if the grin can be seen through the layers of egg D - that'll be duck egg then R - so much more messy when it's running egg - Chris Mason On Wed, 27 Apr 2011 09:55:39 -0500, Mark Zelden <[email protected]> wrote: >On Wed, 27 Apr 2011 09:15:49 -0500, Chris Mason <[email protected]> wrote: > >>Mark >> >>Are you ready for WebSphere MQ - other than VSE and z/OS - PMRs? >> > >My main client is a very large shop with many sysplexes and z-boxen. >One of IBM's largest z/OS Webpshere shops in the world.
