Tom What possible relevance can the "Closed as canceled" have to an APAR used as a vehicle for a documentation update?
Why on earth take the trouble to post that? It is not contiguous with the three date lines and so isn't a mistake of some sort. I am *not* at all *impressed*!!! Sorry, I got that wrong. *Frankly* I am not impressed. And you know very well indeed it was just a matter of time and opportunity before you were hit with that one, don't you? http://alabamamaps.ua.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A2=ind1011&L=ibm- main&T=0&F=&S=&P=125902 - Having got that off my chest, let me say I really don't know what the significance of "Last modified date" in the fields used in an APAR. Minimally it must mean that someone took a look at it and one might guess that the trouble was taken because it needed checking at the very least. The more useful indication that something was moving with respect to FFST was the change that took place with z/OS V1R9 as mentioned in APAR PK37060 where these dates are all in 2007. I guess I could say that I am not impressed that you failed to qualify your observation with a reference to this APAR - mentioned *earlier* in the post - which definitely justifies a reference to 2007 - but perhaps you were too lazy! Recall that I referred to these dates as a way of refuting the following from Shane Ginnane >...> I probably shouldn't get in between you two exchanging social niceties, but I would be most surprised if *anyone* (IBM included) has used FFST in years. Have a look at the "changes" section of the manual for example. and that there is an indication, understandable in the light of APAR PK37060, that someone "had a look" at the manual, even if only in the shape of the "documentation update" APAR, as recently as 2007. It's always better to work with facts than gut feelings or wet fingers in the air!
